Kimberly Thompson

Certified Paralegal

Kimberly Thompson is a certified paralegal who was first employed by this firm in 2002. Her initial hire was as a legal assistant. In 2008, she became certified by the National Association of Legal Assistants as a Certified Paralegal (“CP”), and she has maintained that certification at all times thereafter. Most of Kim’s paralegal work during the past fifteen years has been in assisting Mr. Shallcross in his efforts to seek justice in the district and appellate courts of Oklahoma for the victims of medical and hospital negligence. Additionally, she works on the Social Security Disability practice of this office. 


Kim is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Resources and Family Studies. She is a paralegal member of the American Association for Justice, and she actively pursues paralegal studies from AAJ and from other organizations. 


Kim and her husband Jim reside in Chattanooga, Tennessee, from where she works remotely when able, and in the Tulsa office when necessary. 

Mary Margaret Shallcross

Paralegal

Mary Margaret Shallcross first began working for the firm and with her father, Richard Shallcross, when she was in high school. Mary was employed part-time as a legal secretary from 2007 to 2016. In 2018, she returned to the firm full-time as a paralegal and has been so employed since. Mary’s caseload is comprised of the firm’s personal injury practice, to include medical negligence, wrongful death, vehicular collisions, and workers compensation. 


Mary is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She thereafter worked in the medical and pharmaceutical fields before transitioning to employment with the firm. Mary became a paralegal member of the American Association for Justice in 2018. She has completed over 80 hours of continuing legal education courses since joining the firm in 2018. Contemporaneously with her legal employment, Mary undertook graduate legal studies at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. In 2020, she was conferred a Master of Legal Studies in Healthcare Law. 


Mary’s dog, Rizzo, joins her at the office every day, where they sneak off to study-up on dog law.
